President Donald Trump has appointed Mark Uyeda as the acting Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), replacing Gary Gensler who resigned on Monday. Uyeda, known for his pro-crypto stance, steps into the role as part of the new government's leadership assignments. Additionally, Commissioner Caroline Pham has been appointed as the acting Chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). This change in leadership could signal a shift in regulatory approach towards cryptocurrencies under the new administration.
